is there a rim clear coat or something that comes on rims that keep them from that road and brake dust? my rims are like 10 years old on my eagle talon and they always get this black shiot embedded in them every year. do i need to respray them or something?

that blackstuff is brake dust that you let pile on there for waaay too long so it has stained and dturned your rims nasty......a clear coat won't keep them from getting brake dust on them......what you need to do
is sand down your rims with sandpaper clean them respray them whatever color...clear coat them 10 times.....let dry THEN FREAKIN WASH YOUR RIMS OFTEN to keep the brake dust from redamaging the rims |

Clear coat is a paint -- it's just a good idea to repaint to ensure colour uniformity and even clear coat application.

is there like a spray paint for this? i dont really care what it looks like, i just want to put like a coat over the rim once ive removed all the black off the rim. remember, this is not hte celica, this is the Eagle, not as nice.

There should also be an aisle full of spray cans, some of which will be wheel paint and automotive clearcoat. The clearcoat used on wheels is essentially the same as any automotive clearcoat, and should be similarly treated with polishing and waxing.
