there really isint such thing as an easy swap. they all have a ceratin headache factor involved, while u search for parts, or do wiring or something.

i guess taking out an old 7a and putting in a newer 7a would be the most pain free....lol

i agree with lagos. after looking at pics of people splicing wiring harnesses it sure doesnt LOOK easy to so, and im sure its a lot harder to actually do. i hate my 7afe to! thinking of 7afte. decent performance, nik has posted some impressive numbers and it would be a lot less of a headache. but if you want to swap, the 4age/4aze would be the easiest. im not sure if a specific model year makes a difference in difficultry or 16v or 20v for 4age.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

Motor swaps are not easy, they are very far from it. Especially when you've never done one before. You'll run into kinks into just about every corner, and need to get ingenuitive (sp?), in the end its worth it tho, much more potential that a simple turbo job.

if anything... the 3sgte swap is the most documented and there are a few people out there that can do the harness work for it . with anything like a 20v swap, its up to you to find the wirng diagrams and make things work.

however the 4age has a steep power curve that is not for everybody. the 4agze would suit you better due to its low end torque if you use your car mainly as a daily driver.
