Too funny - I've been emailing this guy, probably enter a bid tonight. If anyone else is serious about this, let me know - try to avoid a bidding war where we both get screwed.

I am going to bid on it, it's mine. I'm just waiting till the end tongue.gif I know that's pretty low, but like scot said, I don't want to get into a bidding war. That engine is totally mine.

It would not be pimp to turbo that. Rather impractical actually. Since the internals are NOT the same strength as the 3sgte, it would be rather pricey. Instead, I'm getting it rebuilt by www.racetep.com. 10.5:1 CR, head port and polish, grind and race prep crank, race prep most everything. Gonna cost about 3 grand for the rebuild. With the haltech, should come out to about 230-240 hp. I like that in a N/A 4 cyl biggrin.gif Type R what?

i think the stock compression is 11:1 so you might want to verify that before you get new pistons. the US 3sge was in the 86-88 celica was 10.5:1 so make sure you get the right parts sorted out. racetep will not have anything for a JDM engine that never made it to the US, most likely.

you're gonna need cams if you want 230-240 HP also. get aftermarket ones, don't waste time getting the stock cams reground.

Ok, it looks like I got it! And for only $995!!

The block does have high compression - 10:1, but thats not a problems cause I have a spare ST205 block sitting in my garage. The best part is the head - its identical to the ST205 head I have on my car! Massive flow compared to the ST185 head or the 5SFE head. The bolt pattern for the exhaust manifold is the same as the ST205 too (or it will be once the extra bosses are drilled and threaded). I'm pretty excited about it.

Does anyone know the capability of the Curren trans? I was told by Jarco that its the same as the trans that comes on out Celica GT's.
