hmmm weird, the only rattle in my trunk is from my loose paneling, but some jerry-rigging has fixed that. i now have a nice rattle-free ride

I have the same problem and it's very anoying...I think it's the muffler that is too close from under the car...but very not sure....I tried to fix it but didnt managed to stop the noise.

the sound is like a flat knocking sound....right?...it's not very a rumble noise or buzz noise...it sounds like s flat "POPOK" when i hit certain bump on the road.

last time i went to change oil.....ive ask the guy if he can check that...and he though also that it was the muffler that was hiting the car....so we lifted up the muffler to see where it can hit and we find 2 spots. He used a torch to heat and remove some metal sheets pieces that was touching the muffler...but the last piece he tried to remove...the guy heat my paint right over the muffler accidently....damn i was pissed, but it's not very bad (anyway im bringing the car already to the body shop in mid-september for some small body imperfections)....he managed to remove all the pieces, but the knocking is still there. .. frown.gif

If someone can figure it out...it would be VERY appreciated

If you had the same problem that I had with a loud clunking noise in the back end then it may be the rear strut stabilizer bushings. After I replaced those I had no more noise in the back. I would check those to see if they are worn out. Its a $20 and half hour job.

Same as the 7th gen's... I've replaced my springs, and my gf's shocks on her 7th gen. I kept hearing rattling noise (loud metal clucking against each other) usually when going over bumps. Found out I didn't tighten the link (sway bar?!?... or whatever that lil bar calls that connects the left and right suspension). Tighten it the best I could, and all the noise is gone.

im going to check the links/bar/bushings tomorrow mornings.....im positive that it's not the muffler or exhaust at all.....it's something in the suspension renforcement that is probably worn out or loose. Now gotta figure what exactly...update soon

update:

car was on the hoist but me and the tech werent able to tell what was the problem mad.gif

since all the bushings looked ok...it was difficult to say...it would take someone under the car when it hits the bumps tongue.gif

i think im gonna order some stabilizer bar bushings to see if that can help...since they're cheap

ne1 can show me where the stabilizer bar is located (picture or something)?

Cheap. Reliable. Fast. Pick two.
