It looks cool, has a lot of great specs, but seems to be comparable to the miata which is a girlie car. but has more driver design and aspects to it. Id buy one, but only after a few years of them being out. cause they'll run into a hand full of recalls first. |

Just a detuned Opel Speedster / Vauxhall VX220 with some tacky American styling. Same thing happened to the Holden Monaro we know as the Pontiac GTO but not nearly as bad.

RWD and aluminum 2.4 liter is neither girly nor miata like. This and the solstice are promising...hopefully, GM doesn't find a way to screw them up. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |

it (along with the solstace) looked promising to me until I looked at some specs of the solstace... Curb weight is 2,860 Lbs., and cargo capacity, top down, is only 1.4 cubic feet (up it's 3.8)... The car clearly is a statement maker for someone looking for a fun toy, but if you can afford a fun toy, why would you choose either a pontiac or a saturn that only costs 20G's?

i'd love a toy or two as well, but i can see more people chooseing a nice daily driver, like a lexus vs. a camry over an eccentric 3rd car first... Also, after looking at the specs of the 2006 MX-5, it's size is the same size as the solstace overall (157 inches), yet its curb weight is 2474 lbs. (386 pounds less)... Seems like GM needs to get these twins some good lypo...

this is very similar to the solstice -------------------- I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. |

the Sky is on the same platform as the Solstice. Rear wheel drive, 2.4 liter engine I think it's suppose to put out what 180 hp? The Sky's front end is very similar to the 2006 Corvette. I'm on the mailing list, and if I want to buy one I have like first dibbs in my area lol. The engine is the same as the Saturn Ion or whatev and the Cobalt, and I hope that after a year or so of production they offer the supercharged 4. This should hopefully get GM back on the map at least, since all of their latest projects have stinked.
