is the engine getting fuel?

is the engine getting air?

check all hoses that see vacuum.

what kind of noise does it make?

does everything electrical work?

what recent work have you done?

check the neutral safety switch

EDIT: check ALL fuses.

it won't turn over? when you turn the key, does it simply click? if yes, try to get a buddy to turn the key for you and, when s/he does, bang on the starter with like a rubber mallet and a rod or something; if it starts to turn over, then the starter is your problem. if this method does get your car to turn, you may have to adjust your crank pulley in order to get it to actually start--that was the process for my crx, anyway.

peace

you should have a neutral safety switch...unless you have a manual and can start your car without the clutch pressed in.

what do you mean by chugs??

do you have an Aol instant messenger name or a yahoo messenger name? I am pretty good with mechanical work so maybe I could help you if we could talk with faster responses than this board

Akimbo, check for spark first. If your getting spark from all 4 plugs, check that getting fuel. If no spark, you broke your timing belt. it just happened to me

check the two wires you connected when swapping to manual
Burt has the idea I was thinking of, but i was guessin maybe the two wires weren't soldered? fell off and now you can't start.

If it turns over this isn't the problem. If it turns over slowly it may be that it doesn't have good contact.
