Does anybody know how to remove the rear speakers (on the sides panels of near rear passanger seats)? As they do not work and think somebody disconnected them (previous owner).

While I am at it is there a way of removing the existing audio cassette player from the central console. Are there any hiden screws???

I wish I could get a friggin manual for this babe.

Thanks in advance

for the rear speakers that plastic mess cover over them just pops off. use a flat head screwdriver and carefully wedge it down the side of the speaker cover and slowly use it to pop off the cover... once its off you can remove the speaker eaisly.

As for the cassette player... you first need to remove the plastic piece around ur shifter... its the piece that has the cigarrette lighter in it.. it just pops up - be careful not to break it. once that piece if off you will see two screws at the bottom of the big center console piece ( the plastic piece that surrounds the cassette player) remove the two screws and the piece will then just pop off - you might have to use a little force to get it off but it will come off.

Besure that you unplug all of the harness when you take off the plastic pieces.

once everything is off there will be four screw/bolts mounting the cassette player in remove these and unhook the wireing harnessess on the back and it should just slide out. If you need ne more help just ask

yea also some people will tell you to take out your back seats to take out the speakers but simply you dont have to

just pull the plastic piece out some and get someone to hold it back or if you are talented like me do it yourself....

its easier than it sounds

what neverstop said is right

Looks like a generalised DIY book on mechanics and less specific to Toyota Celica's - unlike the Haynes manuals etc...

:-/ Not sure if that is what I'm looking for and know i can get something 'generalised' in the UK.
