Well as the story goes...

I have a 96 ST, its quite sad in stock form I allready know this but have taken some steps to hinder this problem. I just bought yesterday the 19th, 2 parts cars a 94 GT celica, and a 91 GTS celica for 600$.

plans and goals, increase stopping power, and help dispell rumors of fitment.

1. Will GT front calipers and rotors just directly bolt on to ST hubs.
2. Which really has bigger rear disc, GTS or GT.
3. Is master cylender worth swapping and if so to which one.
4. proportioning valve need to be swapped.

Any other questions ill try and answer as we go along, all 3 are going up on jack stands this weekend.

I was told by the ex-owner of the GTS that they are the biggest rear disc brake setup that I could get but we'll see, he is known as a celica reference in the area.

And those who follow and or happen to notice, yes 2 cars, that will mean a complete rear disc brake swap will be for sale.

Considering the GTS is a fifth-gen and the GT is a sixth, there's a few more differences than that.

Rear discs on 90-93 GTS and 92-93 GT were 269 mm (90-91 GT got rear discs as an option). Front rotors on 90-91 GT/GTS were 255mm, up to 277mm in 92-93 (same size as All-trac rotors, but w/out the dual-piston calipers).

Front rotors on 94-99 GT were 275mm, but were 3 mm thicker than the 92-93 GT/GTS rotors, and 6 mm thicker than the 90-91 GT/GTS. Rear discs on 94-95 GT were the same dimensions as the fifth-gen rears (except for the centrebore), but in 95-on they went from 10 mm thick to 9 mm thick, though retaining the 269 mm diametre.

For 5SFE-powered Celicas:
Front rotors
90-91 255 mm diametre, 22 mm thick, 54 mm centrebore
92-93 277 mm, 25 mm, 54 mm (same as 90-93 All-trac)
94-99 275 mm, 28 mm, 55 mm

Rear rotors
90-93 269 mm, 10 mm, 54 mm
94-95 269 mm, 10 mm, 55 mm
95-99 269 mm, 9 mm, 55 mm

If you swap the disc brakes from the 91, you'll also have to swap over the hub assembly. The sixth-gen centrebore is slightly larger than the fifth-gens, and therefore a fifth-gen rotor cannot mount correctly onto a sixth-gen hub.

The 94 would obviously be a much simpler swap, as the knuckles and hubs will be the same as your car.

Within a generation, all that is needed is:
rotors
calipers
caliper brackets (aka torque plates)
caliper brake hoses
backing plates
e-brake assemblies
e-brake cables

Across generations you'd either have to add the hub assembly, or the axle carrier and hub assembly -- you'll be able to tell us. Everybody who's swapped brakes between the generations used the entire knuckle, detaching it from the strut, strut rod and suspension arms instead of breaking it down into the components. My question is if -- and it stands to reason -- the sixth-gen hub can mount to the fifth-gen knuckle, or in your case if the fifth-gen hub mounts to the sixth-gen knuckle?

Since you should be disassembling the brakes to clean and lubricate them anyway before installing them, it wouldn't be a significant amount of work to test fit the two generations parts.
