Okay. I just got a 98-99 Steering Wheel. I'm trying to take off the old one. I pretty much moved everything out of the way I could. all the plastic covers and any screw I could. Do I have to remove the airbag/cover of the old steering wheel to take it off? I feel two screw holes which I think is what's holding the airbag piece to the wheel. Do I remove these? Also, on the left side of the wheel theres 2 screws. they look like star screws... and on the other side theres one. do i have to take these off. i already broke a hex key trying to take these off. im very frustrated. someone please help me. thanks.

Yes, those have to come off...you need a T30 Torx bit to remove them. Then the harness unplugs and you have a 19mm bolt...remove that bolt. Then use a steering wheel puller to break the wheel free and it comes right off.

No problem. Don't forget the steering wheel puller either...the wheel is on there really tight. I just bought a puller for $8 at my local Schucks but Autozone probably rents them for free.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

chiltons? i dont know what that is. i didnt end up needing a puller. at advance auto parts it was 14 dollars and i took the t30 torx star thing and everything went smoothly. I yanked the wheel out. it hit me in the face, but thats fine. no bruise. thanks for the help guys. oh wait, how do you align the wheel? thanks.
