If I bought an automatic 1996 Celica GT, what could I do to break into the 14 second barrier? Is it possible?
Thanks |

I wonder if nitrous an intake header and exhaust would pull 14's?

well all you need is couple bolt ons... I personally didn't spend more then $2,000... 65 shots ZEX w/ bunch of accesories 2.5" cat-back exhaust intake w/ heatshield 7afe headers fuel pump ignition system and other small ****... also take off your stupid heavy wheels..... 15" Mickey Thompson Slicks w/ K-1 wheels would be nice for the front take off any subwoofers/amplifiers and get rid of your spare tire, get rid of all small stuff like lift/jack in the back take off your back seats... and with all of these inexpensive mods you should be running --- 14.7 QuarterMile (you might be faster since my is ST) |

Get rid of basically any excess weight. Probably could do a 14 sec in an automatic with nitrous and a cold air intake which was mounted through the hood scoop or attached to an opening on the front bumper. Lets not forget a tuned ECU, high octane fuel + octane boost. Tank filled only with 2 gallons and some other engine mods.

if his is an GT and yours is an ST and he did that same work he could probably pull maybe a 14 flat, i was thinking maybe even a high 13 but..i dont know auto tranny might rule that out.. |

no way, are you crazy... GT has 135hp and that's only 20hp more then ST (94-95 ST OBD1 have 115hp -except California) you might run .1 or .2 faster but that's it, no US 6g Celi can see 13's with stock internals, it's just impossible!!! and by the way AUTO tranny is the best for NOS, never misses a shift, and there is no way that you can ****n shift fast enough with NOS.... (unless u a pro) |
