i have like no skills when it comes to wiring and soldering and all that stuff... i slept during physics, so i dont know too much about current, although i understand the basic stuff... im not sure about all the ohm stuff i want to turn my control panel blue and im wondering if this will do the job, these bulbs seem like the exact same size, my general understanding is that they will be too dim?

those will do the job. but to wire it up you will need to do some soldering.

i just re-wired my heat/ac unit's backlight yesterday with 3x 5mm 20mA blue leds, and a 68ohm resistor from that site. my previous wiring job was done very quickly and failed on my recently.

anyways, since you're not terribly comfortable with electronics, i'd recomend you start by getting a bunch of 3mm leds from that site (8-10) and put them in for each button's indicator light ('cept the rear defrost light which is a bulb). those are a pretty simple job: desolder the current led and solder in the new one. leds will only work with correct polarity so you gotta make sure they're in there the right way around.

if you need any help pm me.
