What would happen if I swapped my gauge cluster from the Auto one to the manual?
I noticed there is an extra set of plugs for the Auto cluster. |

sigh ok.
Not that it would be much relevence to your celica. My auto gauge is the jdm one and instead of having 3 big bulbs(198) lighting up the gauge. It has 2 big ones and 2 no.74 ones and another weird sizeds one. Now, the problem with getting LEDs in different sizes is the fact that I could not get similar brightness leds I had a solution which was to break open a piaa 198 bulb which consists of two #74 bulbs and just use that. It turned out ok, but due to the design on the speedo... shining white light through would give a greenish tint. The only other option for the piaa #198 bulbs is blue which I have no intention of using. I am thinking of using amber lighting but they are not made for PIAA bulbs therefore I am seeing if i can just change to a manual cluster and save me all the hassle |
