Ok I know this is very stupid of me to ask but yet I will ask.
I was out to lunch with my cousin today, we went to a local diner & ordered HAM BURGERS.
~ I was not born in U.S. I'm half Korean & Half Japanese ~
So my question is why is HAM BURGER named HAM BURGER when there is no ham to be found any where in HAM BURGER ?
Can someone please answer this dumb question because it's annoying me.
Once again sorry for this stupid question & sorry to all people who reads this.
But I would really like to know, Thx biggrin.gif

I think they started out as hamburgers then swapped to beef or something.

Because they were invented in Hamburg, Germany, and they named them after the city.

Just a guess.

Ja, das stimmt (that's right)! A Hamburger is actually what you would call someone in Hamburg in German. That's where it was invented and that's what it's called.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

tongue.gif tongue.gif Im just glad, they haven't switched over to using rat as the base ingredient in Hamburgers. When I used to work at MCdonalds..........................
We found some black stuff on our big mac buns one day. I was the grill guy and I figured it was just some burnt sesame seeds or something. I didn't really care.
At night when were cleaning up, I moved the stack bun up and down to rotate them and to my dismay. I found a family of rats. As it turned out, we served 90% of the rat droppings on buns to customers in the form of big macs. this is my story and I am glad I didn't eat any big macs from there on, or on that day afterwards. Rats love Big mac Buns the most!

Actually, in a lot of muslim and hindu countries it is called a "beefburger" so people dont think there is ham in it. Since some religions do not eat cows, they dont want to trick anyone.
