Ok im lookin into the '06 Evolution IX (9 for people who cant "translate", lol) anywho, for there "sports meter kit" they want $490 which consists of "Turbo boost gauge, oil temperature gauge and voltage gauge all in one." I was just wondering is this a good price, because to me it seems kinda high, so i was wondering if it would be cheaper 2 just take it 2 a shop and have them do it. But since it is directly from Mitsubishi it is covered under there warranty and I know it will be installed properly.

Don't get it. Save your money and have the shop do it. If you're worried about the warrenty, you need not because your warrenty cannot become void unless the installation of the gauges caused the problem. That's like saying even though your truck is under warrenty and it needs a new transmission, you can't get it because you put in a bedliner. Some bill was passed a while ago. Maybe someone remembers the name.

If you have like.. 35K for the car I dont think 490 dollars will hurt you any more.

I'd love to go into more detail but what is in the "" in my first post is all they say about them. I used to have a few gauges in my 300zx a few years ago but I had a friend install them for free, and I only payed $90 for 3 gauges (they fell off of a truck). Right now Im figurin $~500 isnt that bad, since it is a dealer option and I know gauges usaully run around $200 and depending on who you go to it could cost a pretty penny to have them do it. So I guess I will just go with the ones from Mitsu.
