I found the wheels I want the other day. They are 18X8.5 ADR Sterling's. The guy that has them has never used/mounted them and he is selling for 725. They are 5X114.5, so how would I do this? What would be needed? couldn't I just use a spacer?
And I'm not sure, but I think that the Offset is +24... This post has been edited by 95CelicaST: Nov 14, 2005 - 3:53 PM -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

Are you sure they are 5x114.5?
I thought it would've been 5x114.3. The ideal offset would be +35 for the 18x8.5, I'm not sure about +24. -------------------- 98 ST204 ZR - Black Beauty - Roaming the streets of Sydney 73 TA22 LT - Tiffany Blue - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 75 TA22 LT - Snow White - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 77 RA28 LT - Flubber Green - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 94 MX-5 NA8 Clubman - Red Racer - Looking for corners WIP Project: 69 RT40 Corona, 2nd WIP Project: 66 RT40 1600s Corona 86 Corona RT142 - Daily Driver 6GC 4 Life Baby!!! |

They probably are 5x144.3, the guy just might not know...
Would +24 make them stick out, or suck in? -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

With a adapter and a +24 offset on a 8.5" wide wheel, your wheels would stick out pretty far...I'd imagine that you'd have problems with your tires rubbing.

spacers are also going to run you about 200$... so just go out and buy the right size rims from the start. 700 for ADR rims that arent even the right size for you isint that great of a deal

Okay nevermind that one, but I found some Rays G-Games 5X100 17"X7 42mm offset and brand new Kumho tires for 650.
42mm should be alright right? This post has been edited by 95CelicaST: Nov 16, 2005 - 4:46 PM -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

actually dan, 35 offset is only for certain wheel size. for that wheel 40 to 38 would be ideal. 42 will be a little tucked in, but nothing serious o and tires size also effects things. so let us know wut size that is.

35MM Dude!! If you go to Tirerack.com, for example, I think all the wheels that fit are just about 35MM offset!

The real problem is the 5x114.3 part. The celica has a 5X100 bolt pattern. You need entirely different hubs to make any other wheel pattern fit. Forget about those ****ty ADR's and find something with the right P.C.D.
