I don't know too much about 240's, but they seem to be at two ends of the spectrum most of the time. There's the guys who keep the KA and put body kits on them, and paint them all kinds of wierd colors, and then there's the guys who keep them pretty close to stock looking and drop in a SR20 or turbo the KA. Your friend does have a good point about the 6gc community though. Not saying that every 6gc is a ricer, it's just you don't see many modded cars that have much performance to them. Even the ones that have performance upgrades or 3s swaps almost always have bodykits and big wheels. 6gc people are a lot more concerned with style. Heck, it's why most of us bought our cars. I'd like to see more stock, or close too, looking 3sgte, 3sge, and 4age swappers. And the all motor or turbo 7a and 5s guys too. To each his own.

I use to catch crap about driving Japanese cars from all my family till they saw what my Geo would do. That's right, Geo. 1.8 liter dected the heck out. Fast little car. The motor that was in it came with 155hp stock, and after tweeking, I'm not really sure how much it had. I'd burn 5.0 stangs and 305 Camaros. Everyone knows, even if they won't admit it, that Japanese cars really can hold their own. More and more will admit it, or they'll just stay bullheaded for the purpose of irritating everyone.

"rice" is really just a person's negative opinion about a modified car

the "ricier" the car, the more people will have a bad opinion about it
