Stupid question perhaps?
Do tyres wear out more on the inside of the wheels more than on the outside (I'm talking on fat racing wheels), or is that to do with the tracking of the car needing adjusting? Somebody fed me this info and I thought 'bollox, don't believe you!'. Should I believe or sort tracking out? jaq1967 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

it has to do w/ a camber problem when a car is lowered excessively w/o being aligned and straightened out. when you drop the car X amount, it changes all the angles, and the tops of the tires tend to lean in, therefore causeing the inside of the tire to take all of the contact on the road, and sometimes the outside doesn't even touch the road, thus causing the excessive wear on the inside

If your car is not lowered and you are getting uneven wear, get your wheels alligned and balanced.
