Considering getting one of these. Who has one? And are you happy with it? Would you buy it again?

it's cool...
65% of the time is used watching videos.. so i'd suggest to get a large memory stick also. for an on-the-go type person, i watch anime or movies on the shuttle bus, or play music videos in the celi. the other 35% is spent on RSS audio (wireless streaming audio), browsing 6gc in bed early in the morning, ... and of course, playing games.. if you find one with firmware v1.5 you can play emulators from other systems (SNES, GBA, SEGA, etc..) as well as other homebrew software (check out http://pspupdates.qj.net/ for more info. but after an update, you'd lose that capability but you'd be able to browse the net, listen to RSS audio, share pics through wifi, change your wallpaper and much more.. -if i were you though, i'd get mine from eBay than buy them new. and try to get those package deals that come with 1gb+ memory sticks with game/movie bundles. anyway.... all in all, to me it was money well spent! -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

they have programs now (i think) where if you have a v1.52 or v.2.0 that you can use homebrew apps in conjuction with those versions... i'm not too sure on details.. just heard rumors being spread about this.
some people have come across 'fake' programs that returns your updated PSP back to 1.50 but ended up killing the firmware.. so it basically doesn't operate anymore and turns your PSP to a 'brick' or so they call it.. anyway, i prefer the update than the older version anyway.. i got bored playing those SNES games.. i would rather be able to listen to streaming audio and browse the net. plus i get to have this pic as my PSPs wallpaper: -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Well, Art showed me this Creative Zen Vision portable multimedia thing that plays MP3s, vids, and what not with a 30gb HD (something that PSP seriously is in need of), so I am torn between the two. theres a $100 difference in the 2.

im gettin one but my buddy has one. Ive played a few games for it, some of them r amazingly good, some suck a$$. THUG 2 Remix is pretty good, grand theft auto is sick 2. But yea, its good for movies and music. My buddy has a 1GB memory card and he downloads some tv shows n all of his music onto it and watches it in class.

Creative Zen Vision is the best for the money in my opinion. iPods are for people that must have exactly what everyone else has... It's unfortunate that so many people assume the iPods are the greatest thing since sliced bread. -------------------- Project ST204.5 99.88946% complete... |

i have a psp, the beginning months sucked, no new games came out but i guess theres more now, its cool and looks great, u gotta be careful with the games since a square is open and if u scratch it ur screwed, i played it like crazy way back when but it collects dust now, u can upgrade the cards so i mean u can have as much mem as u want, a gig stick is enough for movies so i dont think u need to much, u can do a lot, u can hack windows media player on it (idk if thats a reg thing now) but yea its worth it, its a way better screen than the vision to

you can only have as much memory as they make on a card tho. A gig might be teh biggest card right now and most movies are 700-800mb.

Hey yeh PSP is awesome. Best games out there are Hot Shots Golf, Burnout, Lumines, and of course Untold Legends. When you get one make sure if it doesn't allready have it, use someones game (I used NFS MW) to get the 2.0 update so you can use your internet and what not.

you know that commercial where theyre tossing it around? you know why? because it has a lasting appeal of 2 seconds before you want to get rid of it na, actually its pretty cool. i wouldnt buy one though for gaming specifically, however, the other features are nice.
