Colorado MEET UPDATED 6/11/06 W/ Hotel, Fort Collins June 16th & 17th. Options

I'm wanting to try getting a meet going in Colorado. But first off i want to see how many people would actually come to it?? Any people that live in Colorado let me know if you would be interested so you guys could help with all the plans also. Lets get it going for next summer

HELL YA, im definitly in! i tried to get the national meet here but that didnt work out. i live on a lake and have access to a private dock. sand volleyball courts and BBQ as well at the dock. we could rent a few jet skis (or maybe well own a boat by that time, fingers crossed ), spend a day at the lake and take a cruise up to estes park or whatever. if we can get a good number of people, ill be more than happy to help set this up.

was going to put these up other day but been so busy lately. just took these before the sun went down. what do you think? i can have this reserved if we want to. the dock isnt there because its winter and the water level gos up pretty high in the summer. i believe the lake is 1800 acres when full so plenty of room to play with jet skis .

im cool with that. the dock i can get reserved for sure can easily handle a lot of people. our HOA throws a 4th of july party there each year and graduation parties are held there alot. id estimate it could comfortably handle 30 people. during events like this, people always just park up and down the street, and theres an empty lot as well.

by the way thought id mention theres a annual mustang rally up in steamboat springs. its an extra drive but its fun to go to. anybody who hasnt been to colorado would love it. if not, estes park is closer and the drive there is fun, windy and very scenic. just noticed you cant even see the mountains in the pics i posted because of the clouds, damn foothills lol.

yep theres hotels nearby right off I-25 (hampton review and a few others. lots of nice restaraunts and a new outdoor mall just opened right there to. its a nice area. is this date working for everybody? im open to suggestions, anything in june or july.

the stanley, thats the one they used in "the shining." ive seen it but havnt stayed there, looks hella nice though. its a drive to estes from boyd lake. it isnt far, but i swear its the curviest road up there so takes a while . i want to say bout an hour, havnt been up there in awhile. could cruise to estes friday, spend saturday on the lake and cruise fort collins that night. again ill argue fort collins has the best cruising route out there. college avenue is 3 lanes at 40 mph for 5 miles straight with 20 mph stretch through oldtown (if your over 21, lots of bars/clubs down there ). lots of people cruise here on friday/saturday nights. oh and dont worry about women hitcachi, colorados got da best!

Wish I could be there. I just moved from Fort Collins last year. I hope you're bringing Fat Tire since they brew it there! I miss that beer... Y'all oughta go take the celi's over to the brewery for their free tour/tasting...

too bad you cant make it, and to have to move to oklahoma, im sorry yep plenty of microbrews here in foco. odell (90 schilling, easy street) and new belgium (fat tire) are the biggest though. and dont forget the anheuser-busch brewery here with the clydesdales . brewers festival this year is june 24-25. downtown fort collins

and i know you have a date in mind matt, but this would be fun to go to classic car show.


hmmm you didnt happen to take that pic 3 years ago with the snow storm right after spring break? i remember that snow. over 3 feet! week off from school, fun times...
