R/C trucks/cars Options

After the celica sells im thinking about treating myself to a toy.
i had alot of the battery powered cars when i was younger, but now wanna step up to a gas powered.

anyone have one? give me some pointers?
which ones r better. Traxx i have heard alot about.

yeah man i have a traxxas T-maxx truck 4x4. its pretty badass. 20% nitro for fule.
does abou 40mph climbs or jumps about anything. a real fun thing.
manny has one also. his is cooler though hes has a new t-maxx than me with a larger motor stock.

i have a 1/10 on road electric, tamiya tt01, i drift with it so idc about speed haha, traxxis is really good, hpi is good also

all right.

-the only good traxxas car IMO is the t-maxx and the revo so dont buy a 4-tec or a rustler because you will be dissapointed

-if you are looking for on road gas i would highly recommend associated nitro tc3 or an hpi nitro rs4

-yokomo also makes very very good cars but they are more of a "race car"

depending on how much money you would like to spend you can go to a local hobby store and purchase one or go to an forum such as www.rcuniverse.com or www.radiocontrolzone.com

you also have to know which route you want to take. do you want to race or just drive up and down your street. im suspecting that you just want it for fun and if you do i would say go buy an associated ntc3 right now because they are fast, reliable, well built, and easy to use/ tune.

im looking for off road.
i live out in the sticks right now and it would be something to pass the time.
im just looking for a basic off-road truck or buggy.
i was looking around on ebay and saw a few nice ones.

a traxxas t maxx would be very nice if you put about $100 more into a new one

if you want it to go fast then buy a buggy... ofna, kyosho, and thunder tiger racing makes a few very nice nitro buggys...

if you want to go with a truck and not put money into it to make it on par with the rest i would suggest the hpi savage. very nice truck

i have the Official 6GC.net R/C car. HPI Racing RS4 Rally (electric) with the Tamiya Toyota Celica GT4 body. ill post pics of it tomorrow. also looking to get the new hpi racing Nitro Drift car.

hey jared, have any experience with nitro trucks?
i have a modifyed t-maxx that id sell you for a decent price, it needs a steering servo.
its got lots of upgrades, sirio motor and tuned pipe, aluminum bulkheads, cnc machined gas tank, custom "flip-flop" painted escalade body..ect..PM me for more details..

i bought a electric rustler back in the day. its still laying in my closet. its decently fast with a custom 7 cell pack running a 13x2 trinity retro series motor. pops wheelies on command (from a dead stop only) on flat surface, and has a pretty decent top speed. the main thing i love about it is its durability. as long as you buy the RPM wide front bumper youre good to go. jesus that thing has taken some beatings that i was sure something had broke. the downside to the rustler is that its not very race-oriented but more of a backyard/street basher. here is a site i used to go to. it has everything you need to know about traxxas cars and very knowledgable people who can tell you about other cars on the forums.

this thread definitly just got me charging up my batteries haha. lets see how good all the electronics perform after sitting for 4+ yrs in the closet. batteries probly wont be too good but well see.
