Here you go smile.gif

1. teh

Orginally started off as a typo for "the", but recently has changed a bit in meaning. "Teh" still means "the", however, it is mostly used in the same manner that spanish speaking people use the word "El".

"I got two cookies with teh whipped cream!" makes sense, but "I got two cookies with the whipped cream!" doesn't. Get what I mean?

you're all n00b1375! ... (im translating into english so u can understand what im saying, lol tongue.gif) the whole leet speak came from the game counter-strike basically... counter-strike is one of the longest running games and is a add-on to Half-life... i think i started playing CS back when i was 10... i dunno. after many updates of CS from beta (yah i played beta too.) to the current CS:S. i still remember the day when 1.5 rolled out and totally changed the way CS works with the aiming.

r0x0r doesnt mean cool person - it means rock basically. but u dont just say r0x0r by it self. u say like i r0x0r j00 s0x0rz! kinda thing... i've played CS on and off for 8 years... mmm :-/

and believe it or not, now and days if u speak teh leet in CS u get flamed pretty bad.

sorry buddy .. .but leet speak has been around WAY before counter strike. it really kind of started in the hacker/wares comunity back in the BBS days, before the internet was really around. words like Teh kind of spawed off from chat rooms back in the day, where people would make lots of typing mistakes. then it evolved into what it is today .

all your base are belong to us

so-n-so pwned so-n-so2

a couple of the words used are also taken from programming errors in games where there were mispelled words that displayed in the game.

this whole thing isn't a result of just one game, it came from many many games.

1337 (or leet) does not mean cool nor awesome, rather, it is short for Elite, or being the best at something (I.E 1337 haxx0rz!!!!!1111onetoothreefor, or you are the Elite hacker)
