Best? The E58.
Best practical tranny? The C52. -Doc -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |

The E58 comes attached to the 4AGZE in the AE101 Corolla Levin. You could also use the E51 from the 4AGZE in the MR2 supercharged in the late 80s.
The C52 is the stock Celica ST tranny. -Doc -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |

Yes it will bolt on, not sure on which clutch disc you would use, might have to experiment a little. I don't know of anyone who's swapped one onto a 7AFE, usually a 4AGE is involved! But it will bolt on fine, it's just the matter of the clutch disc.

No, it's not written on there... you pretty much have to go by external things or by the car it came from.
