Yesterday I changed my oil, added some good gas into the tank, and attempted to crank the car for a while to get some oil circulated through the block before a cold(like 4 months cold) start up. The thing is, I kept popping my main fuse, because my battery is in the trunk, I used 4-gauge wire for the battery relocation, and I use AGU 80-amp fuses. How much current does a Toyota starter typically draw, in terms of amps? I'm wondering if I should do the upgrade to 1/0 gauge wiring from the battery.

I wouldn't mind doing it, except I have no idea where I'd run a wire that big, and it'd be expensive.

My uncle was telling me that wire used for welding cables would be easy to use and it would be cheap. I was thinking about putting my batter in the trunk. I'd think you'd want to get it as big as you could.
