not in my celi..my friend did it in his AE. He paid $750 and its a full chromoly cage welded to the body, stiffened it up soo much and the guy who did the cage welded it up so he still had access to the back seats and also he put in bungs to mount a 4 pnt harness.

QUOTE he put in bungs to mount a 4 pnt hehe, he did anyway. a roll cage for looks huh, technicly i think the roll cage should be welded to the frame, but whatever. you could just buy thoes side peaces that where floating around ebay every so often, just bult down to the floor, there basicly for looks but in a serious crash would probalby do more harm then good. and full roll cages are not light, adds a pretty good amount to the car, which means less gas milage and its gana be slower. If you want a roll cage for show and not function, consider a "show bar." I've seen them stock on a Saleen Mustang, but they are made for other cars too. I think jcwhitney.com has them, but they are kind of a low quality site, so try looking for show bar manufacturers.

well it adds weight if its for show but if your doing it for the real reason then u should have ur car bone stock weight reduced then the cage would kinda even it out

If you want a role cadge for looks, just use pvc pipe and put nerf pads around it. I've seen guys do this with role bars on trucks. I wouldn't recomend it, but it would at least let you know how it looks.

i was going to make my own, im a welder and i could do it all, my brother works on a race team, and i could just use there pipe bender, i wasn't thinking anything to complicated just bars and the rear that go to the roof and and 2 diagnol bars that go down by the seats 1 for each seat, by the door

if ur gonna make it and want it light..chromolly. Super light weight, super strong. The race car i built was pure tube chassis built out of a 94 civic. With the dash, floor, wheels, every thing but the motor and trans, the car weighed about 800 LBS. 3 guys could pick it up off the ground and lift it up 2 our chins.

dosnt Tuffy have a cage in his gtfour?
the main idea of a cage, is to help the car in a rollover. so unless you plan on doing that type of driving or have some serious power under the hood, i wouldnt bother with it. not to mention that youll get a lot of funny looks from people who see that you have a cage on a car thats not making any more power then stock or not being raced at a track. if you are looking to stiffen up the car for handling reasons, you would probably be better off upgrading the suspension -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
