i dont get your question. right engine for what? are you just trying to replace your 5sfe engine or are you trying to swap in a more performance oriented engine?

ditto, what engine are you looking for? the 3sge would be a nice upgrade from the 5sfe. If I remember right they have 160 hp. If you're looking for the turbo 3sgte then you're barking up the wrong tree.

ok really your just pointing and picking with no knowledge basis...
i see your pretty new and excited so let me give you a few tips for being here and ways to go about it

1) GT is about 130hp from the factory
2) 3sgte motors swap into GT cars (you can even do it in an ST as well)
3) there is a section called FORCED INDUCTION on the main forums page this is where you will find information on the 3sgte and swapping
4) before you post...you must must must SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH
user posted image
5) search for terms such as "swap" "3sgte"
6) there are STICKIES at the top of EVERY FORUM section READ THEM before posting you will find most your information there

this topic has been covered about 30 times in the last 3 weeks so good luck the information is already here for you, you just need to search, find and read

Not worth it. Doesn't have ECU or harness. It'll also be a bitch to wire the engine to the chassis.

ah ok...well short answer is no thats not the 3sgte. if u wunna go with the 3sgte swap alot of research is needed...so u better get reading bud wink.gif and btw i know those guys, that place is near me...i can almost gaurantee you that it'll come with a cut harness and/or missing afm, ignitor, coil, and all the other goodies u need for a complete 3sgte swap.

edit: sorry didnt fully answer ur questions lol anyway the 5sfe (ur engine) comes with 135hp stock. the 3sgte is a turbo engine that comes 225hp stock (2nd gen jdm) and u can buy it from jarco, venus, and another importer in texas which i forgot the name of lol theres alot of places that sells the 3sgte but the first 2 i listed i highly trust...3rd one alot of our members here have good experience with

ya, but this is only the 3sge ... 2nd gen came in 4th gen celicas in north america... probably a little less power than the jdm 2nd gen... but if you wanna go NA 3sge, go 3rd gen for 180 hp thumbsup.gif

Negative. 2nd gen 3S-GE's came in 5th gen Celica's and early model 2nd gen MR2's with about 160PS. 4th gen Celica's got the 1st gen 135HP 3S-GE.
