Powder coating valve covers, who has them... Options

Who here has powdercoated valve covers? I know of a few but who else? When I got to paint my car I'm gonna powder coat my valve cover but I'm not sure what colour to go with. Going with red would be nice if the exterior colour is a lighter tone (ie. my white) But if I do a darker exterior what would look better when the hood is lifted? It's not like i'm doing this this week (more like the next two months) so I have time to decide and check your opinions.

I have black powder coated valve cover and intake manifold, but everything in my engine bay other than my wires(they are red) is black if not aluminium or stainless steel (braided fuel lines,turbo manifold, n2o lines), Same in my hatch, other than battery (red)

Are you going to have it done right? I mean right as in: by a proper painter? Just do red.

But please, if you do it yourself, dont make it look like ****. Half the ones people do are terrible looking. Maybe I just hold higher expectations for things I do, but honestly some of the stuff people put out are just trash.

If you do it right, it should come out quite nice. Either way you can probably just go with Red. If you paint your car blue you could use that but dont go with any wierd ass colors. Stick with Red/Blue and thats it.

he isn't going to paint it and I doubt he has the powder-coating eqipment so I don't think he is doin it himself.

And as far as the powder-coating make sure they have a clean shop so you don't get any trash under the paint.

also a couple more things..
1. they "should" sand-blast it before coating it and make sure all the sand is off and/or out of it.
2. if they are only doing a small job make sure they clean out the spray gun very well if not you can get a blended in looking overspray after they cook it.

Actually, I am going to paint it mysylf, and I do have the proper equipment to do so. I also understand what has to be done with the prepping of a part.

I just wanted to know what colour might look good.

this is IMAO but i would never do powdercoating on valve covers this is why you have to sand blast or fine bead blast the surface to do rough it so the powder has something to stick to if any of that gets into under it in the cover and you out it on and run it and the sand gets in your motor stay bye bye to it over ways paint them while on the car or off just always have to be careful

mine were wrenkal painted never fade of pill and its textured the covers the intake and few other little things were done this way and it comes in almost any basic color
