I just bought an e153 tranny for my 3s swap. Ive done some researching and what not. But it seems like the camry v6 axles will work ( not just outers but inners also) But im not sure no one has really gave a direct answer to what works and what doesnt. The only thing that will directly work is a inner axle from an mr2 turbo and an outer from an alltrac. Alltrac axles are really easy to find. MR2 Turbo axles are a real pain. the dealer wants 850 dollars for them. Called everything from carpart. Nobody has them. The last place I call I said " I need axles from a 90 mr2 turbo" guy replied with " good luck , I dont have them." If its possible to use v6 camry axles, it would greatly help.

Your obviously not looking in the right spots. Try MR2OC.com for your MR2 needs. There are alot of axles for sale on there. If you cant find any there, you can try contacting Josh Boam @ Chico Race Works. I had some issues with him however he has a good reputation throughout the community so hopefully my experience was a fluke. You can also try contacting Kevin Blake @ ATS to see if they have any axles lying around, sometimes they have extra parts.

Secondly, use the inner stubs from the transmission you have. If you have 90 MR2 non-lsd E153, use 90-92 nonLSD axles. You can use ST205 outters, ST185 outters, check out the passenger side short axle solution in the tranny section.

I will have a pair of 92 E153 LSD inner stubs for sale as soon as I get my 93+ LSD stubs. But the LSD/Non-LSD is an important factor in determining the correct axle stub.

I've come across alot of the non-lsd so it shouldnt be to hard to come up with a pair of stubs. And if you end up buying them, you dont need the entire axle, they do sell just the stubs. That $800 sounds VERY high considering they are 90 non-LSD. I was quoted $500 for a pair of brand new 93+ LSD axle stubs.

If you think those axles are hard you wouldnt believe the pain in the ass the 93+ LSD's are.
