i have trashed the st to the moon and back, i hated everything about it. rear disk, roll down windows on some, power locks, etc.

now i have one, not by choice, but ill be dammed if im riding in a 200+ hp celica with a 3sgte and having to roll my damn windows down by hand.

so heres my list of to do:

power windows
power locks

what parts do i need to source for this? i know where i can get them all, i just need to know what to grab.

would it be easy to convert the ST door reflectors into those door lights while doing this whole process?

also what is the nob right next to the steering wheel. all i have access to at the moment are pictures of my car cause im at school and it is at home. is it safe to say my car doesnt have cruise control?

apologies once again st owners, it looks like i am one of you now tongue.gif

Yes, that knob is for cruise control. I had it at one point but no longer have it since my swap.

I remember reading that someone from overseas did this, and it was a ton of work. I went with aftermarket power windows and door locks myself, and they weren't hard to install.

Nope, it unfortunately doesn't.

i dont see why it would be such hard work to install them without the plugs, or even why you couldnt use the stock switches on the spal kit for windows and locks.

my main concern is keeping the car looking stock, aftermarket things like that just kind of annoy me.

leave the roll up windows... if you are going for a performance car then power equipment is all just added weight wink.gif ive owned 5 vehicles (90 S-10, 97 Celica, 91 MR2t, 93 Eclipse GS, 91 MR2na, 05 Cobalt) and the only 2 vehicles ive owned with power windows are the Eclipse and the MR2t, which the windows didnt work anyway so that doesnt count. I guess its just something you are either used to, or you are spoiled with the power equipment. I thought I would HATE no PS on my MR2na, but now i prefer it. Though roll up windows can be a pain at certain times, its not something to flip out over.

i know its "nothing to flip out over"

but i cant stand them, like seriously, its not that im lazy, its just so nasty looking, i just.. ugh.. i liked the celica cause it was comfortable sleek and had power options stock

but it looks like i got one of the liike, 100 vehicles produced without power options.

ok so im having this conversation with playr on aim, he says the only way i could get stock power windows/locks working is to pull the body harness from a car with these options, i however think there are a lot of unecessary wires and that it all boils down to 12v of power somewhere, the hard part would just be isolating important wires and giving up ones i do not need.

There are lots of wires, all of which tie into each other, meaning all of which are necessary. There's also a door lock/window control relay that you'd have to worry about.

Yes, I think so. I have a parts-car ST with power options and I may try that at some point.

I guess if you could find doors cheap at a junkyard and pull the harness, this might work. Or strip the power stuff off the doors
