Pontiac Solstice, yay or nay?? Options

Ive started to see alot of the new Solstice's out on the road lately since the warm weather is startin 2 hit here. When my friend worked at a local Acura dealership, there was a Pontiac/Buick dealership next door and we went over to take a look at them when they first came out. Its a pretty nice looking car. I saw a few shows about it and did a test drive. So far ive heard all good things. 177HP 2.4L Ecotech, with VVT, 5 speed short throw(oem) shifter, 18"s, nearly 50/50 weigh distrubution, avilble OEM LSD, RWD. Its not bad, and its starts at a good price too. What do you guys think of them??

Personaly, i like em, not bad for the bang for your buck.

in 07 its getting a turbocharged motor, droping 225 ponies to the road. Ill be more interested then.

It's a step in the right direction. I don't like it that much, think it's hideous. The Mallett Solstice is nice (LS2 conversion) though.

Now the Solstice's sister, the Saturn Sky........that's one bad mofo. MUCH better styling.

That is one UGLY car. The grill on the front looks totally out of place. What's with the giant fog lights on the rear bumper??? That is just pure grossness.

I like it, although I like the sky better. Pictures of the solstice do not do it justice. Its important to see it in person. That said, I do agree that Pontiac really needs to lose that front grill.

You have to see it in person. I def like the sky better like many have said. The solstice has a lot of great features and style for the price. The mx3 still beats it in road tests, but what ever. It still looks kinda like a chicks car.. but def hot, Id think about getting one.

The only problem with all these roadsters is that I Can't fit into one. too damn small. I sit in the solstice and Miata at the NAIAS and damn if my head was aboe the top line... its not fair to us who aren't vertically challenged

well, I took care of that problem. Like the ferrari f430??? I have been busy working on my solstice. I added a turbo kit, made some fenders, lamboed the doors, modded the sideskirts, and completely redid the interior. I haven't dynoed yet, but the other guys are getting 300 + - at the rear wheel.

Looks good... but why the gauges on the pass. side a-pillar? Those don't even look visable to the driver.

I would have taken out the handle on the side of the center console and fabricated a pod to hold them there.
