http://www.snowperformance.net/ >-- couple kits there.
Id def think about doing water injection on a 3sgte after seeing the benefits. QUOTE "In gasoline engines, as with any intercooler, this suppresses detonation so more power producing boost and timing can be utilized. Water, with its high latent heat of vaporization cools the intake charge and combustion. Methanol cools the charge and combustion but also acts like an extremely high octane fuel (some researchers claim as high as 120 octane) as well as adding more oxygen to combustion." more power for a very reasonable price. $400 for a setup and make an addition 60-80hp if tuned properly. so does anyone have any info they wanna share with me about water injection. -------------------- |

you can mix up your own 'boost juice' by mixing pure methanol with with distilled water yourself and save money by buying the pure meth in bulk 5 gallon drums. cutting 50/50, that would last along time. i know atleast one person who does it that way. im not sure where they bought it from tho.
whats really cool is when you get a standalone engine managment system that lets you change timing/fuel when you're spraying the mix so that you can take full advantage of it. -------------------- |

Exactly why I'm going to be running a piggyback Methanol Injection on my 700+ RWHP LT1 build for my 93 Trans Am. I don't have a way to mount a big FMIC on it and the methanol makes for a great backup.

i have WI on my WRX
it got me 20whp on the dyno before i finalized the tune its good stuff just spraying it with out tuning doesnt do much though, you need the ability to tune. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

I am helping a friend with an FD Rx7 do this soon, we are expecting good results.

Injecting water slows down the combustion in a cylinder which in turn leads to less power because the piston is getting peak pressure past its "sweet spot". So unless you are getting massive ping due to poor intercooling, you will only loose power with water injection. In order to utilize WI to its max potential (i.e. actually making power) you will need means to advance the timing a couple degrees and/or lean out the a/f ratio a bit. Also make sure to incorporate some form of safety measure in case you leak/run dry/clog the nozzle/break the pump or something of that sort (pressure sensor recommended)
