wazup homies, well ive been reading about this swap
alot for about a year now and i got it down pretty good, but i wanna kno how hard it is to do the swap yourself, i have a 94 celi GT with a 5s-fe . ive blown the engine before and i replaced it with another one with a little help from 2 friends, but i dont kno if the 3s-gte will be the same. well its not the same but for someone who has changed an engine once, do you think its recomdended to do the 3s-gte swap myself? with a little help. or should i just hand it over to a mechanic and have him do it? oh yeah a couple dayz ago a homie told me that i would need a new front axle to handle the power, is this true? well hope you guyz can help me out here and i hope i didnt confuse you guyz, thanks.

since you have a GT it wont be too hard, the engine will drop in. its just the wiring that will be a bitch

Its more than wiring that will be a bitch - and yeah, its hard. There are SO many different connections to make - alot of stuff wont make sense to you, the ECU is wired completely differently. Yeah it'll drop in, and it'll fit the same motor mounts, except for the left side u might need to figure something out, but it wont require welding. Its NOT easy. I am currently trying to figure out the ECU and wiring it - its taking FOREVER, and i dont kno when im going to get done (If ne body has done the 5sfe/ST185 3sgte swap - PM me).
I did all the mechanical stuff - taking it out, putting the other one in - u'll need a weight balancer for the engine, cuz ur going to need to tilt it hard-core to get the tranny under the right mount. If u want more details - IM me at Supersprynt, PM me, or email me.
