HOLY CRAP MY AREA IS GETTIN BAD Options

Ok, so in the last year and 5 months..there have been somethin like 64 deaths by gun violence in Toronto. To some cities, that isnt bad, but for Toronto/a Canadian city, thats freakin bad. Any ways, in the last 2 or 3 months, there were 3 shootings about 10 min driving time away from my house, and it started to bother me a bit. Then tonight, im at my gf's place, we are sittin on her bed watchin Miami Ink, and all of a sudden her mom starts yelling, "TURN TO CHANNEL 8!!!!" So we change channels, the 11pm news is on. Some one got stabbed 12 times in a highschool parking lot. The high school was Central Etobicoke Highschool. That high school is no more than 15 min walking distance from my house, and about 2 minutes away from where my old highschool is, where i usually go get gas, where i buy my greoceries, and its right across the street from where one of my best friends live. The scariest part about this, my neighbour and one of my buddies that i usually hang out with, they go there to chill with their friends and smoke and smoke up and stuff so there parents wont catch them. And they usually go there every night around the time this stabbing happened. And the worst part of all, my buddy drives a 2001 Black Cavalier Z24, and witnesses/neighbours near the school said they saw a black sports car with a loud exhaust speed away from the scene. And they said the stabbing happened roughly around 10:35..and at about 10:40 or so, when i was at my gf's place, i was openin a window and i saw my buddy come ripping down the street, like full all out bootin it. The street near my gf's place is a 50km/h zone...around 30mph, and my buddy was rippin down doin probably closer to 100km/h or 60mph. So right now im kind of worried/scared about my friends and about this area now. Like worst thing that has happened in my area since i was a kid, besides this, when this littel plaza close to my gf was up and running at its best, there was a bank. Some guy tried to rob the bank, just about made it too, but was shot and killed by the police. Like yes violence, but also justice. Now, some guy gets stabbed 12 times in a public place, at a highschool for troubled youths and across the street from a catholic elementrie school. What the hell is wrong with the world and people these days?

when i went to toronto 3-4 years ago, the drivers there were very rude and crazier than los angeles drivers.

yeah when i was in LA, drivers didn't seem that bad... but if you don't like toronto.. NEVER go to montreal.. they're even worse there...

but yeah all the stabbings and gun stuff is crazy... thats why i like cambridge its close enough so we can drive down there for the clubs and partying, but i dont have to deal with everyone getting killed!!

Living in the UK we don't hear about all the stuff that happens with you guys but it is certainly shocking to see the violent crime rates in the US (not sure about Canada) do you not think the US ones have something to do with guns being legal? they aren't in the UK and our gun crime is low but rising. It is very worrying that the world is changing like this and there is so little value put on a life. In the UK you would get probably 25 years for armed robbery but maybe 10 for murder which is a f**king joke.

a 12yr old girl wif (i tihnk) her 23yr old bf killed 3 ppl in medicine hat alberta... or so i've read...

now, whever i tell ppl i live in scarborough they always say "scarborough? isn't that place really sketchy?"

but london ontario still has the highest murder rate per capita in ontario...

but toronto drivers don't seem that bad to me... (mayb bcuz i'm use to it... hah)

I've never found Toronto to be worse than anywhere else I've driven on a regular basis. but damn, there have been a lot of shootings and crap in the GTA lately!

yea ****, these past few months theres been a tonn of robberies and home invasions in my area, just the other week there was a shooting accross the street in nightclub where my cuz works, and i dont even wana start with pickering, ....these 3 guys tried pulling my gf into their car while she was walking down the street about 3 weeks ago, she fought em off and ran into the mall

The thing that is getting real big in my area, Portland, is meth...which leads to all the murders and rapes and stupid shhit people can do...Just last week, a man high on meth shot himself 12 times with a nail gun...put it right to his head...newspaper said he reloaded....2 behind his right ear, 4 in his left cheek and skull and the rest in the back of his head...he didnt die, the next day he went to the dr stating he had a headache...dr didnt see anything until xrays, no blood becuase the nails prevented that...All I can say is its better if they do that to themselves than some girl taking the bus to get to her college courses...
