Is there anyway to get a c-one strut bar fit on a 96 5SFE GT? I was told they don't fit. Thanks.

Yeh I was thinking about it the other day, I was told that the ST202 bar wont clear the engine, IF it doesnt maybe try and put some spacer in between the bar and the sheet metal around the strut.

BUT then I think you might have problems attaching the bar to the firewall.

Its a half fix I guess???

I think just go for the jspeed bar. It will fit into a ST204.

the c-one will not fit anything but the st205. if you have the gt4 hood, it should fit. i'd go with the jspeed, i have it, it's lighter, and it definitely fits. and it doesn't have those lame stickers on it like the c-one. those are stickers btw, that's not like, painted onto the bar or anything.

Here is a link to a pic of the Jspeed bar(on my 95 ST, wouldn't let me post it as a pic). It works very well and fitment wasn't bad at all(except for my cracked strut tower from driving on Potenza RE730 tires, those things stuck like glue).

Jspeed strut bar

I got mine off of the Celica.net group buy last summer. The only bad thing is that it doesn't include the bolts for the firewall. I found mine at ACE(don't remember the thread or I'd tell you, but get at least grade 5 bolts).

if there is a GB on a front strut bar i am in. There is another post from someone who found a site that will do custom strut bars for only $60. If we cant get the jspeeds, maybe we can get those.

Hey Guys, I just received my jspeed 3 point bar and it looks pretty sweet!.
I havent installed it yet as I am overseas but I will when I get back in about a week or 2.

I found out that it weighs about 2 kilos with the box that it came in instead of the 6 or 7 kilos that the guy that I got it off told me. This weight difference makes a huge difference in the shipping cost from Japan and I worked out that the bar will cost about $240 to $250 to get to your door in 10 days from Japan instead of the $300 plus that I told people before. (If you dont know what im talking about check out the celica.net groupbuy section.)

Charlie, Aaron and 1bwilson, Thanks for the info that you gave me about the bar. I had a nightmare getting the info that i needed. I just have to install it to see if it fits okay. The 2 firewall bolts came with my bar too. I dont think that you can use the originals as they might be too short to use.

Aaron, was the $240 that you paid for the bar the groupbuy price or normal price from Alamo?

As far as I know it was their normal price. We had to wait on them to get another shipment from Japan, but we didn't have enough people to complete a group buy(always happens, 30 people say they want it, and only 7-8 actually buy it).
