so yeah, after school today i decided to race one of my friends, he has a 4th gen gt-s coupe and i got a 6th gen vert. both stock!

the first race was at a stoplight, long even street, i got him on the line like 2 cars ahead than i thought something was wrong with his car lol so i took my foot off the gas at like 40 mph and he zoomed past me, i tried to catch up but he was gone... i was like wtf toyota's dont have vtec!

the 2nd time, was at another light, i floored it and kept it floored and got a good headstart, wheeles squeaked a bit than i was gone, like a good 3 cars at 80 mph

than the 3rd race, we raced to my amigo's house, we could take any route we want *kinda like midnight club lol* but yeah, i won and waited there like 3 min...

but yeah, the 5s kinda hauls, anyone got any info on an st-162, its an 87 gt-s

links anyone ?

ps: i know racing is bad so i dont need any people nagging at me about *racing is bad, your gona die* and stuff! i race for fun!!!

i read somewhere that the st-162 has a 3s-ge

http://celica.dublet.org/reference.pl?celica=ST162%20LB

is this accurate? cause i find it funny that a 5sfe would dust a 3sge...

do you think it is because it is an old 3s?

the 4th gen GT-S have the 1st gen 3SGE engine with T-VIS. the 3SGE engine has better top end power unlike the 5S. then when t-vis kicks in its got even more power.

those 3s engines have 8 intake pipes instead of 4 but only 4 are used in normal driving conditions. after about 4K rpm the other intake valves open up allowing the engine to suck more air in.

tell your friend to get an intake if he doesn't already have one, trust me, he'll want to drive at high rpm all the time! lol.

My old '86 GTS would get owned by my '99 GT if both were N/A. When my 4th Gen was N/A it was definetly slower than my '99.
