Listen, my ex girlfriend and I broke up about 10 months ago but we have to be friends because all of my friends are her friends too since we started hanging out with them when we dated. Anyhow, she calls me and wants to talk to me like we are still together but when i see her in person and i make a move or something she totally shuts me down saying that it wouldnt work out. Ive called her out before but this shiz stuff but it still occurs. what to do.

Don't go for her- just ignore those types of advances on the phone. She wants the benefits (which for a lot of chicks just include some kinda close friend or something) without the costs (having to put up with you in public). The relationships that are the breakup-get together- breakup- get together- breakup type rarely work, and just put you through too much hell. Find someone outside the group of friends. Also, you're a fool for trying to 'make a move' on an x-girlfriend. Don't let her talk to you like that on the phone, and as lagos stated, don't talk to her on the phone at all.

When I broke up with my first gf, a few of my friends hung out with her. I let them go. Now, present friends hang out with her too, but talk shxt about her behind her back. I call them out on it, and when they go around her, I don't go along. I've seen her once in the past year or so, and she didn't say a word to me, and I didn't say a word to her. We don't hate each other, it's just like we're strangers again.

I personally think if nothing's happened in 10 months, and you are around each other quite a bit, you need to look into other alternatives. Don't sell yourself short, and keep persuing the manipulative girl. She's trying to keep you just close enough to still have control. As lagos said, just in case.
