94 for the toyotas
95 for the honda(just checked) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Integra...28DC1.2C_DC2.29 I'll give ya credit on it, but ALL automakers are the same, SOMEONE sets a trend and the rest follow it, the only real bad copying is Hyundai trying to do Honda. possibly the crystler/bentley thing too -------------------- |

Actually, for the DB & DC model, they release earlier than 6th Gen in 1993. -------------------- |

I was just thinking the same thing but never brought it up. Also for the 7th gen celicas, when they shortened the car, so did the rsx. When they changed the headlights, so did the rsx. When the celica was changed to 6 speed, so did the rsx. I guess since they are in the same class, honda tries to just follow along.

Toyota has always made better looking sports cars back in the days. Look at every (non exotic) sports cars of the early 90's, they are all boxes !! oh wait - no - what's that? - a Celica - cool, a non-box car - check out those curves !! - wow - lets copy it's design
the revolution of round car design was born unfortunately toyota lost it, i think the jap that designed cars for toyota either died or quit. long live the pre-2000 toyota sports cars -------------------- ----------------------6GC's FIRST V6----------------------

^^ yep, it's so true... no one believes me that my 5th-gen is a '91... everyone thinks it's newer than that. Toyota was way ahead in styling, and they still are for the most part, although I think they sent most of their good styling guys to design lexus cars lol

if only the fast celicas were sold here, you'd probably see more toyotas out there being modded then hondas
USDM integra rs/ls > USDM celica gt + st USDM integra gsr > USDM celica gt + st USDM integra type-r > USDM celica gt + st USDM rsx-s = USDM celica GTS dont go crazy on me now, thats my opinion stock for stock, ofcourse if someone spent $1 million on a celica it's going to outperform someone who spent $20 bux on their integra, i bet in japan its not so honda crazy as it is over here This post has been edited by pure_dx: Jun 12, 2006 - 12:22 AM |

i respect every decent car out there where they be family/sports/utility/luxury they all have their catch. of course they've got to be of decent make not so *insert country* reject. just ends up in the personal preference of the driver. as far as both the above celica and integra pictures go i'd easily own any of those cars without any regret. they are both excellent automobiles. your lucky to own such prestige cars like above. -R
