I need to do so much to my car frown.gif

1st off: what could i do about this?
Back window on the passenger's side, it will go down... but it wont go up... After sitting there forever just pressing up on the button it will go up after awhile...

So...
This is what i think, and I wonder if it'll work. Would just replacing the switch fix it just fine? Because there have been times where we took a lil machine to it to shock the switch, and then it will go up and down no problem. I'm thinkin a circuit in the switch might be getting old and its not getting enough charge to go up...

2nd of all
This is the worst... and its all my fault. My top will go down just fine... but now its having trouble going up all on its own.

Here's the story on how it all happened. I was putting the top down, but I accidentally didn't unlatch a hook all the way. When the top was gonna go down, the hook re-latched and there was some weird noise. When I put the top back up to make sure it still worked. Only one side pulled up the top while the side I hurt didn't work. The top still went up and everything, but when the top hit the area to be latched onto the car, normally the noise of the top stops, but for some reason the side that I hurt, kept making the noise as if it hadn't made it to the latching point... I hope this makes sense frown.gif

I think I broke or strained the system on one side of the top... Anyways... Now the one system that was making the top go up and down is too weak to bring it back up... So now whenever I put the top down I havta lift it up manualy half way and then push the button to close the top and it will work...

I have no idea how to fix this one... Or what exactly happened for that matter... Any ideas?

Ok about the rear window, i think its just a loose connection on the back of the switch. try cleaning off the connection becuase there could be some contaminants, or just a loose wire or something.

Ok and as for the convertible top. My car has the same problem. The problem is the teeth in the motor. The motor still makes sound correct? The problem with mine was that there was just no connection, so the motor would just spin and spin. Um ill try to take some pictures on how to fix this, but i will need like 2-3 weeks cuase i am not with my celica right now. New motors are expsensive little guys, so lets hope those are still ok biggrin.gif

I think we tried cleaning at one point... I think... and it worked for a lil bit but then it went back to how it normally works... will go down but wont go up...

as for the top... so something just came undone in the little engine, possibly? I hope so cuz then it wouldnt be so bad lol Cuz it does make the noises, but nothing really happens. Hmm... yeah pics would be great whenever its best for ya to get em smile.gif lol How do you get to the motors to check? do you havta take off that flimsy plastic thing off in the trunk to get to them?
