Alright.. Since im starting to get more money from work and from my sidejobs (weekend mechanic) Im going to start modding.. Mostly suspension because I autocross. Not sure if theres any other Celica Owners that autocross their car.
Just a little preview of current car. 1997 Celica ST 110XXX Miles 205x50x15 Kumhos Everything else is pretty much stock So far im looking at a spring/strut combo. The GroundControl seems to be a good option for a good stiff ride. I have the TIEN Stechs on the track.. and um thier a no-no. EIBACH Prokit is having good results in my friends 02 Corolla. For struts it seems we have 2 options.. GR2 or the Yellows.. How well does the GR2s take abuse.. The only set I have tryed are in the Previa.. and well their close to being blown from all the spirited offramp/onramp driving Strut bars. The cheapest route im guessing is the GT front and GT4 rear brace. is the difference minimal or somewhat noticeable. Bushings: Ill just wait what happens with the group buy.. hehe Rim/Tire: I already have the tires their 225x50x16 Potenza 910s now all I need are wheels.. 16x7 perhaps? Thanks! PS: I should have put it in the suspension forum |

For struts KYB's are only OEM replacements for your stock struts so they should be the similar if not the same to your stock struts right now. Koni Yellows are hella good struts, but are on the pricy side, but they also let you adjust the dampening level to your liking. Probably the most beneficial upgrades for your car for autocrossing is wider stickier tires and some beefy sway bars
