hey people, your n00b(thats me) wish to ask a few questions

first of all, i was wondering:

how the hell do you connect a lip to your car? i've never had one and have never seen anyone put one on. i always wondered this. do you just drill and screw like crazy? is there precut holes or something? or do you just put glue everywher and hold it in place for a few minutes for the glue to dry?

also, would wheel size change how many miles you put on your odometer? for example, if i stick 24 inch rims IPB Image IPB Image on my car and drive hella far, would the same amount of distance be calculated on my odometer then if i had the stock 15 inchies?

thanks in advance!

Of course. You will drive the same speed with less RPM. So it takes less revolutions to do a Mile on bigger size tyres. So that means your speedo will be off.

Look at the next link
There you can calculate the difference in stock and future plans of wheels+size tyres.

Probably not because even if you can fit that big size of rims. Bigger rims means more rotation weight = more power needed at any point = more fuel consumption.

i know that rims size changes your actural speed but never thought too much on it. i made a fast calculation like below..

stock rims are 215 50 16r has 159.5 cm circumference
my rims are 225 40 18r has 169.7 cm circumference.

that means i am actually going 106.4 km when i see 100 km on speedometer. confused.gif
can anyone correct me pls?

Just ad your numbers here:

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Difference is 2.5 km/h from stock
