and it wouldnt have to be only a 6th gen meet. the supra one in Las Vegas is all kinds of supras. My bro was invited down but hes not into cars so he didnt go! BUT YEAH WE SHOULD MAKE IT A HUGE CELICA MEET!

what if we were to plan it for next summer? that way everyone has a year to fix their car up and also gives time for the people who would plan it to get hotel reservations and also find places that are prime spots for picture taking and things like that

Ok well thats cool but the one im planning is hopefully gonna be HUGE like the supra meet. Im in talks with a guy at TRD who has been asked to form a Celica Club much like the MR2 club and Supra Club here in the Northwest so him and I will probably head this celica club up and were looking to do this meet in summer of 2005 and ship our cars down and fly ourselves down there! Promote this thing like crazy! Ive done a car show already next will be the Celica Meet of 2005

hopefully this goes down

Later

Ok well The_Argon and I will organise hiring a ferry, and we'll load it up with all the hundreds of 6gs around here, I think the voyage across the pacific would take about 4-5 months? So by time we get there it should be organised biggrin.gif

The Supra and MR2 meets took years to get where they are. You can't just expect everyone to show up at once. Take Pigeon Forge as an example, last fall there were 6 cars, this spring(2 weeks ago) there were 12 of us, and there is another meet in the fall(well, it's being worked on). It didn't start as much, but it's already starting to get attention, and many more people would like to come next time now that they see how much fun we had.

If we get many smaller meets started, then maybe we can converge on a central location later, but I don't think it can be done by just starting one and trying to make it huge. Give it some time. And don't exclude other generations. For one thing, there just aren't enough 6th gens out there to have a huge meet, and for another, it's snobbish. I don't know about you, but I love almost every generation of Celica(and miss my 3rd gen very much).

But, if you do get TRD there, I need to make it to Kansas City sometime to visit old friends, so I should be able to make it. And by 2005 I should be done changing things on my car and have it ready for show.

What you need to do, is get all of the local meets that I see advertised here on 6g going really strong, then combine them all into one. If the same sort of thing happened over here, I'd be there fo shur!

Yeah I was the first to say that we wouldnt exclude other generations. Its obvious that if we include the other generations that it would be bigger. Second of all I dont expect it to be like the Supra meet. but It wont be only 10 people either! When I put my mind to something then it gets done and having two years to plan it will definetly leave time to do promotion right and things!

Dont underestimate me! especially if TRD backs this up!
