there are 4 screws at the bottom of the door, 3 on the side, a couple on the door panel, and you have to take off the plastic piece around the door handle latch thing and then there is another screw behind that. also there is a big screw up in the door handle, you might need a flashlight to see it. it's not that hard just start unscrewing things, but remember where you took them off. to get the headliner out you have to unstap the pieces around ther little back windows and the trim around the doors. it takes alot of time but its worth it.

To go into further detail on kristin's writings, the whole door panel is one peice, including the part you wanting to redo....
Heres a good post on how to do the door panel.

This is off topic, but what kinda material/paint did you use for the fabric that you painted blue. Ive been wanting to do that, but dont know how. Thanks for any help, sorry for the ot reply.

not a problem dude i can tell you thats not paint thats a marine grade vinyl ( i chose marine grade cos of its high uv tolorence and its 7 yr guaranted waranty on color ) also you'll need to buy a heat gun you can get a decent cheap one from like ace hardware for like 20-25 bucks they work n last a good long time and some high strength contact cement like the 3m headliner adheasive as far as the material if you can give me an idea of what color your looking for i can get you well more then enough to do two panels and arm rest i still do alot of part time work for my old boss who runs an upholstry shop and i still get fringe benifits wink.gif
the material depending if you can find it for good grade any where between 50-130 bucks for tha goooood stuff which can be shaped to just about any shape you can imagine with a lil heat and patience but to the guy off the street a good grade vinyl will cost a bit more i have seen the same material sold for up to 50 bucks a yard and you'll need atleast two yards

also if you feel you might not be quite qualified to do it i am for rent lol and wont charge you anywhere near what an upholstry shop will

to get these panels done like this my fiance had a extremly highly reputible upholstry shop in tallahassee fla give her a price and well lets say this you can get a fair NOS kit for what they wanted let me know n i'll try to help you the best i can

I just went to auto zone and they had upholstery paint and then i just covered and taped everything around it and went to work. you should use several light coats and have a little drying time between coats, cuz it is really easy for it to run.
I have had mine painted for a couple of years and haven't had to repaint it yet. I use armoral wipes and lightly wipe them down when i clean my car.
