Check ToySport . They have a kit for the AWD conversion and can also supply the motor and everything you need.

yea the AWD conversion is possibly the hardest thing to do to a celica besides putting a 2jz in there. you will need an ST205 front AND rear clip. thats the front and back of the car. JARCO can get you those parts for 4500 plus shipping which is around 500 to Iowa from Georgia where they are located. You will need a frame straightener to frame holder. Some people call it different things. You use that because you have to swap in the floor from the real GT-Four into your USDM celica. If you dont have that frame holder then the roof will wrinkle really bad because the floor is gone and the chassis will be more vunerable to flexing that it was before. Also you have to swap in the gas tank as well. And on the GT-Four's trunk it is flat. That meaning that there is no spare tire well in there. so you have to cut out your trunk floor and the GT-Four's trunk floor and swap that too. If you dont then the rear differential will not fit. After you do the floor and gas tank and trunk swap then its on to the hard stuff. If you have Aol Instant Messanger contact Qatar11 (mike). Since the car that you will be doing this on is a USDM Left Hand Drive celica and the front cut that you get from Jarco will be a JDM Right Hand Drive Celica. Then you have to send you wire harness to someone to have them extend the wires and some other things so that it will plug into your USDM wire harness. E. L. Prototypes in Aruza California will do it for 1000 bucks. But Mike will do it for 450. Then after that is done. Take out your engine, suspension, drivetrain, etc. And swap in everything from the GT-Four. Some people will say to just use the USDM axles but why? The GT-Four ones are way way way stronger than any USDM axles. Any other questions just reply on here. |

Yea, or you could just take the money from that and buy a Supra instead.

i thought it was only the trunk pan that had to be swapped in. either way i hope mike takes lots of pics of that step. as for using a frame holder, its a good idea but if i cut the floor out of my car, im not going to move it untill im done. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

AWD is really not needed unless you really plan on going to rally events with your car (the intended purpose of the gt4, and the gt4 also includes tougher suspension I might add) on the street all awd is going to do is wiegh you down and decrease gas milage, ohh sure you might get a few fractions of a second better on the 1/4 but the gain might only be on the start and might be made up in the lighter 2wd option in midrange...
