I was browsing some photos of members' rides, and came across this one. I don't recall whose it is otherwise I'd just ask them. I want to put this kit on my 'vert. I looked at the sticky but couldn't match this up with any of the ones on there. Obviously it's just side skirts and extensions with the stock bumpers - does anyone know what this is and where I can get it?Thanks!

those are called SS-III front and rear splitters. The fronts will fit on your vert no problem but the rears will not (they are made for a hatch). They do make rear extensions that will work on a vert/coupe (hiro I think)
look at these pics from a former member lil_lissa -------------------- |

Mmm, the mix and match look is kind of neat. If the rear ones don't fit the vert, I may go with the Erebuni rear like you, Vincent-doggy.
So, according to my search, the front splitters are a JDM part, only available through a few dealers, right? I'll call my toyota dealer on monday and see if they can get them for me. Does anyone know of any dealers who have them or can get them? What are the side skirts, and where can I find those? Are those OEM available from the dealer - US or JDM? Thanks again! Samantha |

^^^ AHHH! heads up if your gonna go with the Erebuni back peice!
That wont fit either. I have that peice on my vert and I had to customize it to fit. Basically what we did was chopped the peice in half and added 6 inches to it. It wasnt easy, and if you had a shop do it the cost might not be so friendly... thats why I did it on my own... Just a heads up about verts, pretty much anything you get wont fit the back end of the car. You'll havta do custimztion/modification to make it work unfortunately The butt of the vert/coupe is too fat, unlike them hatchbacks... Pretty much all the kits you see are meant for hatches This post has been edited by CelicaBuddy: Jul 30, 2006 - 12:19 PM -------------------- 2003 Nissan Murano SE |

Samantha the side skirts i think people called them dealer option sideskirts... they were options @ the dealership... you can get the front splitters from a guy here called chrisc... i think he sells them for like 170-180USD or something -------------------- |

Yes, do a search for Chrisc in the "buying/selling" section. You should be able to find all the possible front and rear extensions that your looking for.
Just a FYI, if you get the OEM Sideskirts or aka dealer option sideskirts from Toyota it's going to cost you roughly about $200 each for each skirt. Plus with all the attaching hardware you'll need it'll total to about almost $500+. Take a look at the Sticky at the top of the "Exterior Styling" Forum named "Sticky: FAQ, Bodykits, JDM part #s and info ect". It has the list of ALL the JDM part numbers you'll be needing. This includes the Front Splitters and the OEM Sideskirts. -Christee- |

plus those dealer option skirts will not fit directly onto a vert. They need to be modified to fit because they are meant for a hatch the shape of the bottom of the cars are different. If you are looking for something similar though, the 404 sides do directly fit onto our cars..

Okay, so if I understand right - the SS-III front splitters will fit a 96 vert, the hiro rear extensions will fit a 96 vert, but the OEM dealer option sideskirts will NOT fit a 96 vert.
I think I'll get the splitters and Hiros from ChrisC, I pmed him earler. I don't really want to monkey around a whole bunch trying to get the skirts to fit. The 404s look sorta like the OEMs, I may go with those if they will fit like beastman says. Anything to watch out for when buying these parts or any places to stay away from when buying? Samantha |

Here's my input:
1) contact Doggy (Romas) about any body parts you want. His parts are generally cheaper and fit a hell of a lot better than Chrisc's. But Chris has good products too. 2) the white sideskirts were not available in the u.s. at any time. ViS remade something like them called the z-max skirts (in my profile) they are only different in the front of the splitter. Doggy ran a gb on the dealer option side skirts a little while back and he made them himself. Once again, the fitment is amazing. I actually believe someone is selling their side skirts in the buy sell forum. 3) if you want the side skirts that lil_lissa has go to toyotaworld.com and ask for Jeff. If I remember right he can do it for around $380 ish ? -------------------- |
