Pre-install:

Before recieveing the intake I had decided I was going to replace the filter. Appon receiving it I was glad I had gotten a new one.

After attaching the filter, I attached the Rubber Coupler to the intake.

^intake just prior to install

The install:

I first removed the upper air intake tubing, and filter box. The tubing is connect to the throttle body by a clamp, and to the filter box by another clamp. (sorry I didnt take pictures of it) The filter box itself is attached to the body of the car by 3 bolts, 2 inside the filter box, and one on the outside, located between the filter box and the strut tower. (again sorry I didnt take pictures of it)

^what the engine bay looks like with the upper OEM intake stuff removed.

I attached the intake with a 2" Rubber Coupler from Lowes ($3.47 in the plumbing section, near the pvc piping)

My first problem was this:

^hole for the temp sensor

IPB Image
^the temp sensor

The whole is to large, the answer. Grommet

IPB Image
^advanced auto parts, got a set of a whole bunch of sizes for $3.xx (i used the size that fit the temp sensor, the outside diameter was slightly smaller then the Injen's hole, so I wrapped a rubber band to make it larger for the time being)

Next issue was:

The intake has connections for the pcv and another hose, but the OEM hoses are to narrow in the interior diameter, to me directly attached to the intake. So I left the pcv hose connected to the throttle body, and had it bypass the intake all together. I went back out to advanced autoparts, and got some Vac Caps.

^and example of one.

^example of where it goes (there was 2 places i caped, the other is on the underside of the induction tube)

Final Product:

Build total:

Injen SRI: $80 Shipped From Zipstrips (again I would like to state that he is an awsome seller)
K&N Highflow Cone Filter: $60 From Advanced Autoparts
Rubber Coupler: $3.97 From Lowes
Set of Vac Caps: $3.xx From Advance Autoparts
Set of Grommets: $3.xx From Advance Autoparts

Total: $149.97

PS: THANK YOU TO LAGOS and MYNZEYES FOR HELPING ME NOT LOOSE MY COOL WHEN STUFF DIDN'T FIT RIGHT AWAY.

Great job. Nice write up with good pics!

One thing I have noticed now is that the '94 & '95 models don't have a vacuum line directly into the intake, only into the throttle body. When we install these SRI on our engines, should we look at putting a vacuum line into the intake, or is bypassing that and only having the vacuum into the throttle body best?
