well since i hate my blinkers that i have on my celica now and im always looking to make mine just a lil more different. i was thinking about making my hi-beam into a blinker. the hi-beams would still be functional but i would just cut a hole in the housing and install the blinker bulb assembly on the bottom of the housing and also make my side makers blink also. well i guess i just wanted to see what people thought about that. im goin to try it out soon i just hope it wont look gay or anything.

You'll want to use 1157 bulbs for this probably. I tried this with 194 bulbs but my blinkers weren't bright enough, even at night. I'm not sure if even 1157 bulbs would be bright enough during a sunny day because of the way the high beam assembly is designed.

just stick to the side marker blinking. it could be illegal for your bright light to blink.

I wanted to insert 194 bulbs into the high beam housing so all my 4 lights would be lighted up at night...but maybe I should go for 1157 insteads...those are pretty bright! -------------------- -Rémy 02 SiR, 08 250R |

first for the hole i just made sure where i wanted to mount the bulb and start with a pilot hole then i just got the dremel tool and cut a square big enough for the bulb to fit. water shouldnt leak into the housing but idk for sure yet. i just got the hot glue gun to make a quick hold and to fill the gaps and then i went back over it with a much stronger adhesive.
