Does anyone know how to convert a 3 post spoiler into a 2 post?

Cut out the midle post?
Just kidding! you will probably have holes to fill in the center, and I'm not sure if the outer fastners are in the same places. I have never had a 3 post only two and a trd. -------------------- |

theres two screws for each outer post and supposedly one of those on each side is the same for both spoilers and matches up. you'll probably have to drill the second hole yourself through the trunk and get the middle patched by a body shop [or do it yourself].
I should be finding out soon. I'll let you know This post has been edited by hurley97: Sep 26, 2006 - 7:06 PM -------------------- |

Hopefully this will help you. There are three
holes that need to be filled in. I had a pic of them, but lost the pics. Anyways, there is a hole in the middle and a hole on each side. On the inside of the blocks. Then you also have to cut a hole for the upper part of the block. I had to do it with my blocks. -------------------- |

There are two screws for each outer post and one for the middle post. The third hole on the outers is where the plasic piece snaps into. One of the holes that are already there should match up with the 2-post. The area circled is where you have to drill the other hole, you'll notice how it flattens/flares out a little.
there was adhesive on mine that took some time to get off (using Goo Gone) I didn't think I would but I kind of like the spoiler-less look so until I have the time/money to put the 2 post on it will stay that way. I bought an etched vinyl/sticker (of a chevy logo ) from Autozone and cut out the clear parts to cover the holes, I figured it would be the easiest to get off later and stay better than some kind of tape because it's made to go on cars. I put some electrical tape on the underside as well, just for the hell of it. when I put the two post in I'll have more to add -------------------- |

i had to convert mine. you basically have to drill 1 new hole on each side. once you do that, you have to cap off any extra holes you have in the hatch. you can just use black trim caps, that you get from any car parts store.
