this has been discussed a few times before. The general concensis is that it is not about having all of the options, it's that the GT-S has the sport suspension package.

I have seen the GT-S in Nebraska. Although it could be imported it seems like a lot of work to import and plate a vehicle in Nebraska just to have a few more options...

so far, all the GT-S models i've looked at had most of the good stuff, like leather, abs, a/c, sunroof, sport suspension and 8 spkr system.

the GT models had them as options i guess. for example, my sister's GT has no leather, 4 spkr stereo, no a/c, no abs but has a sunroof.

GT-S Celicas do not come standard with all of the optional items (i.e. sunroof, leather)

I still belive GT-S celicas were made for US market too... I also belive difference between GT and GT-S celica is just in Toyota specification of grade (one is ST and second one is GT). That means you can find sunroof, ABS, leather seats in GT and also in GT-S... Question is what is that "sport package"... Better brakes? ...dunno how recognise difference in suspension

you have convertible, right? And you have ABS and both rear disc brakes (so rear too), right?
You know I belive you have, because you have this model:

USDM CVT was just ST204L-BKPGKA or ST204L-BKMGKA and VIN started with JT5ST07K or JT5FG02T . If not there are mistakes in TOYOTA EPC

no, sadly it is not a 25th anni. I had to pick up the floormats from the dealership cuz they guy I bought the cars from took em out and sold em asswipe.

you would have to contact toyota... cant really go based on what you own because options can be added at the dealer.

The GTS did come with sport suspention. Ive seen my car (oem GTS suspension vs a stock GT and a stock ST) and my car sat just about a 1/4 inch lower than the rest. it also handled better than the others.

i thought that teh GT and the GT-S were the same cars. all the things that was listed was basically "dealer options" well atleast thats wut i think, cos in canada they have honda civic SIR which is equivilent to the US SI models.........

I work at Toyota and I see not major different in the GT and GTS. I remember in the older modles of the celica they threw in the MR2 motor. in this generation just small options that realy it I can pull up more information at work when I have time

Ummm.....I have a GT-S and I have leather seats...
I actually have all the options for 94, the only thing im missing is the 8 speaker's

And sport suspension, not sure if it came with it or not since that was all replaced with aftermarket before I took possession,
I still have the stock parts if someone wants to let me know how to find out if it is the sport or not....
