Went out to my car this morning and saw my window on the ground. they busted it out, took out my front speaker amp from under the seat, checked the glove box and center console, stole my ashtray and the ten bucks of change with it, popped the trunk and took my sub, scratched the paint. They left my deck w/ faceplate and a pair of oakleys tho.

I filed a report with police and called insurance.. window deductible is 100, property is 500 so im not gettin my stuff back. and ill need new tint on the window. i havent even checked the wiring i really hope they didnt cut it.
blah

ugh, sorry to hear man. They couldn't even be nice about it and break the small window, huh? Errrrggg...

no alarm? This kind of stuff is what gives me nightmares, not so much the property damage and stolen stuff (which really, really suck by themselves) but the thought that someone was touching with, messing with, and getting inside of MY car....

So you're saying I deserved this, and it was my fault?
The only thing I'm at fault for is not having an alarm. If it were karma, then this wouldn't have happened and I'd have a few less dents and scratches on my car; I respect other's property.

I talked to some neighbors and appearently this exact thing has been goin on for a while now. One said his car has been broken into three times since Febuary frown.gif I didn't think this neighborhood would have so many problems like this...

So I'm getting a new window put in tomorrow, seeing if the wiring is still there to switch over amps, and shopping for some tint and an alarm.
we'll see how it goes..

I misunderstood you, my bad.

I really doubt I'll (or the police if they even decide to do anything about it) find who did it, but thanks anyways.

Not trying to be rude or anything but I always kinda find it strange when people move to an upscale area and are suprised when things get broken into(house or auto). I mean no offense but it's not like a criminal is gonna go to some getto to break into peoples geo metros. I made the same mistake, moved to a good area, didn't have an alarm and left my back seats down so they could see my amp and speakers. Sorry for your misfortune.

You're lucky the window was broken outside. When my car got broken into (and I had no subs, no aftermarket amps, no speakers, no faceplate.. stupid ppl) they smashed the window to the INSIDE.. ugh.. broken glass EVERYWHERE... and man.. was it ever hard to get it clean again, even after the insurance did their "0.5 hrs of cleaning"..

I still find bits of glass from time to time. frown.gif

every single person i know with a system has had it stolen at least once.

don't bump near your neighborhood, or anywhere close to where you plan on parking, and people won't know you have a $1000 stereo system in your car.

sorry for your trouble, hope it works out.
