I'm 16...please don't scoff at me for this, but I am absolutely loving this model of Celi. I believe the new 2000+ models are horribly ugly, and that this is just plain sharp. I'm in the line to get a new car, and I've chosen the 94-99 model Celica. I'm not looking for performance, so I figured the best bang for my buck would be an ST. Am I right? I need the car to hold up through my last year of high school and through college (probably 2 years). What kind of mileage and stuff should I be looking for? Any tips would be hot. The only mods I really want are neon underbody kits, and a Supra-style spoiler. I basically want any color except for white paint. Anyone got a price ranger I can look for? I am taking out a loan I think. I work a LOT and get good pay...so I can pay it off. I have a 93 Grand Am that I am selling for some pocket money...and money in the bank, birthdays, such like that to pay it off. Anyway, any tips or predictions would be nice. Remember, performance isn't my thing, I'm all about style...I'm not gonna pull some stupid Fast and Furious street racing and get myself hurt (or lose my vehicle)!
Thanks a bunch! And hello, I'm a new member around here. Edit: Other than the Celica, I enjoy Eclipse's. 95-99 models. Any tips on those versus Celicas would be nice, and please be practical, don't just say that the Eclipse sux rofl omfg and that the Celica would m4d pw33n it. Please tell me your honest opinions, back stuff up. This post has been edited by Akimbo: Jun 30, 2003 - 10:39 PM -------------------- |

Thanks for the welcome. I am looking for auto. While manual looks fun at first, I believe it would eventually be a pain in the arse

manuals are very fun but if your in a lot of traffic it gets tiresome! also get the GT model more HP And if your looking to do the swap a GT is the easier road to go but you will get more MPG with an ST and it wont cost as much to insure its not considered a SPORTS CAR w00t with that being said i want to let you know that 90% of the drivers on here think their car is too slow... so i would recommend the GT and do the swap later and burn any ricer that races ya

Wether it be an ST or GT get yourself a stick over auto. Why? Because it's worth your time learning and improving as you go on. One thing I don't like about ST's is their lack of power. I'm a stick GT owner and even it is slow for me. ^^
So if you're thinking about owning a 6GC you will, someday, have to soup it up. It ain't tellin you to but it will hint at ya. gjunon, i didn't know that celica's aren't considered as sport cars..surprising! Is GT included? haha last but not least, if you take good care of it it will surely last a long long time(probably forever). Its heart may die but it can be replaced. The body lives on. By than you be strong as heck! |
