Hi guys,
well i just got it in and its running thanks to some advice from OUTSIDER about wiring. she is running so sweet. Heres my history. I bought the celica 3 years ago with 35,000 miles on it an a 7AFE a UK ST model After a year i decided i wanted more power as we all do. so i got hold of a donor car in the shape of scrap UK GT with major side impact perfect for the swap. I did the complete swap over a weekend starting friday night. heres the 3SGE in my car Well after running it with no problems for two years i craved a Beams. I got one for a absolute bargain £600 (i dont know what that is in Dollars prehaps 900) I got it last week and fitted it this week but it would start but not run. So i searched for advice from all the forums and web pages and of course, i got the correct advice from here (Thanks Outsider) Well I ve bored you enough heres the vid and some pics http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=...533973416568367 enjoy Kev This post has been edited by UKcelicaKev: Oct 26, 2006 - 6:25 PM -------------------- Gen 6 Celica in Red with VVTI Beams engine, lowered 40mm, front and rear strut braces, asia tec 17 inch alloys, avon ZZ2 tyres, Rage Back box and a decat, JDM rear lights, red bits on the dash and clock shroud and a DVD player.

very nice, how do you like it?
I was considering saving for a Beams but I wasn't sure if the gain (from a stock USDM ST) would justify the cost in the end. I'm not worried about power as much as how fun it is to drive -------------------- |

the ignitor wires needed bridging. they are different on the ST from the Beams. so i needed to power the fuel rail and the injectors.
I got loads of help from Outsider (Club Member) and my wife who scanned the net for diagrams and the wiring pictures. Took about 3 hours with a curcuit tester to find the wires. but when soldered the right ones together she fired and i took the vid. Been out in the car all night WOW i love the difference. -------------------- Gen 6 Celica in Red with VVTI Beams engine, lowered 40mm, front and rear strut braces, asia tec 17 inch alloys, avon ZZ2 tyres, Rage Back box and a decat, JDM rear lights, red bits on the dash and clock shroud and a DVD player.

Glad I could help out.
Welcome to the club.... It sounds great now but it will sound MUCH better and breath better when you replace all that stock intake piping. I have an HKS setup that came with the motor. (click on picture to enlarge) [EDIT] another thing to do. Your power steering pump will have two vaccum lines on it. Cut yourself a piece of hose about 4 inches long and just plug an end onto each fitting. The BEAMS does not use that and you will find no vaccum line to plug them into...(been there done that...lol) Mine is running fine blocked off like that; no steering problems at all.
